The stories about drugs that are said to be adulterated with a wide range of dangerous substances are both persistent and widespread, but also usually untrue or exaggerated. This doesn’t mean in the least that drugs are to be deemed safe, but instead that serious health issues stemming from drug use are usually caused by the actual drug.
